ELISE Webinar: Emerging Approaches for Data-Driven Innovation in Europe

January 24th 14:00-16:00 CET (UTC+1)

How novel approaches can facilitate and catalyse the exchange of data in line with European values, infrastructures and legal frameworks?

The digital transformation of the European economy and society is framed by the European strategy for data that foresees the establishment of a common European data space based on domain-specific data spaces in strategic sectors such as environment, agriculture, industry, health and transportation.

Acknowledging the key role that emerging technologies and innovative approaches for data sharing and use can play to make European data spaces a reality, the webinar will present the results of a set of experiments and research conducted by a pool of experts, which are part of  the upcoming JRC report “Emerging Approaches for Data-Driven Innovation in Europe”.

Coordinated by the Digital Economy Unit of the European Commission'sJoint Research Centre (JRC), the experts investigated emerging technologies, innovative approaches for data sharing and use, and socio-technicalfactors that occur in data-driven innovation.

The team from the Digital Economy Unit of the JRC will introduce the report and set the scene from the scientific and policy perspective. In the three subsequent sessions the experts will present and discuss their work. See the agenda below.
